I’m an artist living in wonderfully weird Portland Oregon. I work in encaustic paint which is beeswax, resin and powdered pigment that you melt and apply in layers to your surface. It’s an ancient medium that is having a revival due to it’s versatility, and lovely luminosity.

My work is based on science and nature and is influenced from my time spent in an alternative science based high school where my creativity was expressed through dissection drawings, microscope illustrations, and plant identification.

Explore my portfolio, read my blog, keep informed of upcoming shows, and maybe sign up for an encaustic workshop yourself!  Feel free to leave me a message or contact me via my email.
Peace! Chantel Greene
