I’m excited to say that this is the first year I’m participating in the Big 200 (previously Big 100) art show! It’s actually more than 200 artists now, so the show should be huge! Each artist creates amazing work using 5-10 8×8 wood panels that will be displayed in a huge grid of creative energy. Some of Portland’s best artists are participating but since the artist names aren’t displayed you don’t know whose piece is whose until you buy it, so you could walk away with some very sought after work for only $40 a piece!
This show is a benefit to the Oregon Food Bank, so bring your cans of food and help make someone’s holiday season more merry. Come support local artists this year while getting your holiday shopping done and feel good about your purchases. Maybe you’ve been very good this year and should pick yourself up some brand new original artwork to enjoy on your wall.
The show is at the Settlement Galleries in the Pioneer Place Mall in downtown Portland (700 SW 5th Ave, in the Atrium Building on the third floor). The opening reception is on December 10th from 2-10pm so be sure to come and have your pick of the artwork. If you pay in cash you can carry your piece out that night.
