It’s that time of year again for the Portland Open Studios tour! This exciting annual event is where 96 artists and craftspeople in Portland open their studios to the public. The self guided tour provides you with a map of artists in the area and pictures of their work. This is a great opportunity to see the private spaces where artists work, view demonstrations, and learn more about the creative process. The tour takes place during the two middle weekends of October: 11th-12th, & 18th-19th from 10am-5pm each day.
To discover other artists’ studios in your neighborhood and experience the full range of artists at work, pick up a ticket in one of three forms: an iPhone or Android app for $9.99, a Tour Guide Calendar for $20, or a Map-only ticket for $5. Tour guides and maps are available from local retailers including all New Seasons stores and local independent art stores Muse Art & Design, Collage, I’ve Been Framed, and Columbia Art Supplies, as well as online. You can find out more about the tickets and watch a video about the tour experience at: bit.ly/PDXOSVideo
